Lynchburg in US Airways Magazine!
Rich in history and natural beauty, and flanked by the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lynchburg, Virginia, and the four counties surrounding it — Bedford, Amherst, Appomattox, and Campbell — draw visitors from around the world. They flock to sites such as the majestic Peaks of Otter and the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford; to Patrick Henry’s estate, Red Hill, in Campbell; to Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, where the bitter struggle of the Civil War came to an end; and to the lush George Washington National Forest in Amherst.
